I guessed you would either be a photographer or an artist! I do both so I know the feeling, and I love how those art-forms taught me to notice light, to take it in, to adjust myself accordingly. We can get so lost in that feeling of observing, and I love it.
This is the wildest most beautiful thing I've witnessed in awhile. I'm in! Here's my contribution: "I'll sit with you on the edge of the cave of all your fears and shed light on the darkest of corners of your beautiful wild soul."
Bruised clouds, rolling, rumbling, crashing in. Waiting for them to split and pour, to unleash fresh water all over me, cooling body and spirit, cleansing....
(I'm not used to writing poetry! 😅 Love the idea!)
A line for our Poem to the Wild:
A slow soft growl whispers through my grief
So wonderful! Thank you!!
Love this! How about...
The delicate strength of wildflowers emerging from cracks in the pavement are a compass; leading me along my path, one step at a time.
This is wonderful! Thank you so much Lyndsay!
Wild will breathes into my soul, grasping the wind, holding the sun and swimming in the rain.
Oh Andrea, I love this, thank you so much!
Hello Natalie!
What an amazing idea, and I cannot wait to read the final poem, to see how you weave it all together.
Here's my line for the poem:
I find myself in the epicentre of a dance of shadow and light
Oh I love this Debs, thank you so much!
I love this one. Makes me thinking of dancing, but also about how noticing light and shadow roots us into the present moment...
Hi! Yes! That's exactly what I was trying to convey. As a photographer, I believe that light and shadow is everything in the present moment. 😊

A Line for the poem...
‘As I dance in this floral symphony of melodious colour...’
Oh, I love it!!! Thank you so much!
I cannot believe that we independenty wrote a line about dancing 😍 how synchronous is that?
That is the embodiment of the wild, it can't help but feel like it is a rapturous dance! I love this!
Ahhh.. great minds and all that Debs... what a coincidence though... x
My contribution to our Poem to the Wild. I might have tried too hard, but here it is:
Rain slowly erodes my shell, baring my soul to the sun.
This really is a lot of fun, @natalie Eslick - I'm enjoying everyone's contributions and can't wait to see how you weave them together!
I love this Susannah, and I am so happy you joined in! I have some lovely email responses too, it is going to be a most wonderful weaving challenge!

Oh Tamzin, I love this! We had rain last night and I was so tempted to run out into it (even though it is winter here)
Wonderful idea! ❤️
Buffeted by the wind and lashing rain, rose turns her blooming face to the sky and drinks in the air and water
Ahh, I love this Daria, thank you! (It is raining here now, and I imagines my own rose face)
Hi Natalie, thank you for this adventure.
A line for our poem:
Your salty paw on my lips
The sweetest delight of all.
Oh, this is lovely, thank you!
A line for our poem:
A wild thing stretches itself
To fill its space in peace.
Oh Isabella, this is so very lovely, thank you!
A line for our Poem to the Wild:
I relaxed into the velvet darkness of the moonless night.
I love this my friend, I can feel myself wrapped in that dark cloth now
As the water changed direction, it tore at the edge of the bank, trying take the earth along with it.
This is so lovely, thank you Sarah!
A red bird against the sky
My heart sings too
Oh I love this Karen! Thank you so much for sharing xx
Windswept and torn, they lean in, years, decades, of weathering Southern storm...
I can't wait to read the poem!
Oh I can feel this! Thank you for sharing!!
