Such a beautiful post and I'm sending so much love. I know how hard it is. I happened to have my cat on my lap as I read this. You've already turned the grief into such a beautiful reflection and piece of writing ❀ Thank you for sharing.

Dear Natalie, Sending so much love to your tender animal-loving heart. I've only had to go through that once (putting my dog to rest), and at the time, I didn't have the strength to be there with her. Instead, I sat and wept in my car. One of my biggest regrets is that I wasn't there with her.

I'm a fellow artist/writer, and your Substack was one of the first I subscribed to. I really love your writing. πŸ’š

Thank you so much Dear Barbara for your kind words. Your sweet pup knew you were there with her, I have no doubt, but oof, it is so so hard, and our wishes and wants to change some things we may have said or done is the hardest. I am so honoured to be walking this wild world (and Substack! ) with you xx
