Beautiful post, Natalie. I have a whole weird relationship with the wind. In Ayurveda, it is Vata dosha where the wind can become unbalanced in our physical body. Years ago when I struggled with a chronic illness, I couldn't tolerate any air movement - an air conditioner, ceiling fan, etc.- could bring me to tears. An Ayurvedic practitioner said I had too much of the air/wind element trapped in my body. I've had tornado nightmares my entire life. You write about this element beautifully. If only these bizarre weather events were truly Mother Nature's doing and not manmade via geoengineering, I might be more apt to flow with it. The wind has become very strange - intense and prolonged - and always follows a day of chemtrails. But, that's a subject for another day!

This is so interesting Barbara, thank you for sharing. The wind continues today though not quite as blustery, so I am sitting with it a little softer. I love what your Ayurvedic practitioner suggested - I think this is powerful indeed!

Yes, Ayurveda is so illuminating! I've been writing about it a bit in my newsletter. Love your writing, Natalie. :)

Feeling all this wild energy this week an dithering about how to harness it. Most days I have given up and just gone for a walk. Sometimes thats enough.

Oh a walk is so often the fastest (and simplest) way to ground, isn't it! I always get so much more perspective when I go for a walk, if only to see all the other little wild beings living their best lives without any regard to what I am perceiving as unsettling and difficult! May you find much wonder on your wanders!

I love this post. I also struggle with strong winds, but find the only way through is to embrace it. The air element at it's loudest, making it's presence known. Reminding us to breathe. You've made me want to go out and dance in the wild wind :)

I hope you can find some time to dance wildly with the wind like I did - it was deliciously exhausting and cathartic (and I wish I could have seen it from the outside, I am sure it was quite a sight!). Thank you for your kind words xx

I love this Natalie. Sometimes the big things feel so overwhelming. Maybe dancing with them, rooted in tree's strength, is the best way to weather the storms.

Thank you dear Carri. There was so much goodness that I took from dancing wildly with the wind, and I think you are right, that remembering this feeling, embodying tree energy, may well be the best way to weather all the wild weather - internally and externally <3
