Hahaha, about the plans. :) Me too! Glad things brightened up for you today, Natalie. Days like that are precious. I'm always fascinated (and a little bit envious) by watching someone drawing (representationally.) I've always been an abstract artist. Maybe one day, I'll challenge myself. 🌸
Oh Barbara, it is funny isn't it - I wish I could be more abstract! I love watching abstract artists work, and am a little envious that my brain doesn't seem to be able to work that way. Thank goodness we have all sorts of us making all sorts of creative joy :)
Isn't that funny (and so typical of us humans?) When I was a little girl, my mom took me to art classes in the basement of the Detroit Institute of Arts. After class, I made a beeline to the floor with Native American art, African art, and Egyptian art - all shapes and patterns. I was totally disinterested in portraits and landscapes. Later, in art school, I barely tolerated figure drawing and still lifes. But now that I'm older, I want to do it all! Anyway, it's so calming watching you draw/paint, Natalie. Thank you, and I hope you have another wonderful day today! Or...you may be ready for bed in Australia. I'm in the US. xo
That's such a big learning isn't it, that we can be attracted to so many styles of art that is just not the type of art that we make ourselves. I think it's kind of wonderful. ❤️
I love days like this so much. Here's to new beginnings!
So liberating, and exciting, and full of possibility!

What a lovely note to wake up to!
