Thank you so much for helping to make the book so beautiful, and for the heartfelt way you engaged with all the stories. It's been such a pleasure working with you. And an honour to have your two wonderful grandmothers presiding over the pages!
Oh yes, for sure! She is fully in her power - I always see this as a woman for whom maidenhood was well and truly in that past. Plus, anything with ravens and crows make my wild heart sing. I am in conversation with two ravens (well, she was the one raven in real life, but now she has two personas, one for each painting) right now, and enjoying it no end!
Oh Natalie, thank you for sharing your journey. I am waiting for Hagitude to arrive in my postbox any day and will scan the pages before reading just to sit with your images first.
I would love to see your rendering of Brigid. She is so complex and most images I see lack depth.
Oh thank you Anne! I can't wait to hear what you think - it is such an inspiring book. And oh yes, Brigid is a must I think - thank you for suggesting her!
I’ve appreciated your beautiful art from the day I first saw Old Crane Woman. Your creations are really a perfect companion for Hagitude - a heartfelt thank you!
This is so wonderful! I always treasure reading your emails Natalie and congratulations on the illustrations, they are beautiful. I'm looking forward to reading Hagitude, but must finish If Women Rose Rose Rooted first, which I'm loving. I would have to agree with the nomination for the Morrigan! Can't wait to see what you create :)
So excited for the book and to see more of the art! My heart is drawn towards the Cailleach, washing her plaid in the Corryvreckan Whirlpool. I crave more images of her as I age. Her counterpart, the Goddess Brigid has long been a guide of mine, and I would also love to see more of her. Thank you for your work!
This is amazing, Natalie! A story within a story. I LOVE Sharon's books and can't wait to see your illustrations in it. I never knew either of my grandmothers and very little about my own Celtic roots until I started dreaming about Scotland several years ago. I will have to mull over the goddess question... Congratulations!!! Barbara
I would love to see your interpretation of the Banshee. I have several Hawthorne trees out back and often imagine her resting in the branches. I’m very careful not to upset the Fae who reside in the trees and take my role as caretaker very seriously.
Oh my stars yes, the Banshee! I honour the very important role you have taken on - what a beautiful, deep connection you have, thank you for taking such good care. xxx
Wonderful post, and I am delighted to hear your illustrations will be featured in Hagitude. So looking forward to its arrival! As to the godess artworks, like many, I would love to see Brighid and The Morrigan (all her parts!), and also Aine.
I love your description of these illustrations as a "conjuring", and the "magic in the creative process". It's so true, always creative work feels like a collaboration with something beyond ourselves.

And I vote for the Morrigan, please!
You are such a treasure, thank you!
And you are totally speaking my love language - the Morrigan is top of my list!
I always imagine her as a strong, midlife woman, and she's so often portrayed as a young buxom thing ...

Thank you for sharing the stories behind your beautiful artwork. It adds another layer of richness to the images.
Oh thank you for your very kind words, I really appreciate them!
I second the Morrigan! When we moved to this house, the first night I had my one and only Morrigan dream to date... so vivid. So I'm listening to her!
Oooo, what a delight! I think it would be most wise to listen the Morrigan :)
Hope you are well!
Natalie, you cease to amaze me with your depth & talents. This collaboration is simply beautiful.
Thank you lovely Gina! You will have to find a copy in your beautiful country, I am sure you will love it!
Agree! I would love to find one and look forward for to discovering where I can get one.
I'm so excited for this book. Congratulations on your contribution!
Thank you Jennifer - and it is totally worth the wait, you will love it!

Thank you so much for these suggestions Theresa, and I love your vision. The Cailleach has such a strong pull for me too!

Oh thank you Barbara! You are going to love this book, I think Sharon knew exactly what we all needed to be reading right now!
