Me, I have loved finding you on Substack, and while I’m draw and paint so many subjects, my wild artist soul can’t only do wildlife. I wonder if this place, community could be a spot for this artist who’s tired of the marketing side of the job and as a 60+ creative just wants to make what I want on any given day.

Oh, I hear you Gloria. And I think we absolutely need a space to be able to celebrate our creativity in all it's various wild forms and to connect to others who feel the same. Hedgerow is about connection, above all else - connection to your wild heart, and to the wild which you honour in any way that you choose. While the tutorials will be on wild life, the mindset and compassion work is relevant to anyone who wants to imbue their life (and creativity) with calm, focused, and curious connection - while I am happy to answer anyone's questions about how I run my business, it is not in any way a business or marketing course or membership. Just a little place for us to celebrate the wild, and slow, intentional creativity together. And I am so grateful to have you here on Substack, and walking the wild world with you!

2 weeks post surgery and I've played with both paints and pencil. It's funny to discover, painting is less painful. I finished my raccoon painting, but may pay a bit more on it. The sale I thought I had, fell through. And that, I realize is okay.

Oh Tamara, I am celebrating you so much right now! I am so happy to hear that only two weeks after surgery you are able to be making art - we are so lucky to have you able to be bringing more beauty into the world! It makes sense that painting might be less painful - even though we grip a brush and a pen the same way, there is a little more pressure applied to get pigment out of pencil compared to brush. You are amazing!
