So much love for this piece. I don't think any words can express it ❤ I will never not wonder how these four-legged creatures inspire so much unconditional love in us, how little else makes us smile and laugh as much as animals do, and the pain when they move on...

I'm sitting here with tears running down my face reading your story of Sage and family. I am a feline mom myself and I have suffered the losses of some of my fur babies though they did live a good long life. I also cry over those who have no heart or pity or compassion and abuse these precious feline...and canine gifts of love. Bless you many times over for rescuing Seraphina and her babies. So very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious kitty, they occupy such a huge part of our hearts that they leave a hole when they are gone. Thank you for sharing this story, as an animal lover I can relate to this. 18 months ago my son discovered six kittens under our deck, cold, wet and abandoned by their momma. They were only a week old and I spent the next several weeks bottle feeding them every few hours. I weaned them, litter box trained them and set about trying to find homes for them. Ultimately 4 were adopted and I kept 2. When the first little one left to go to their new home I cried, they had all nestled their way into my heart and letting them go was difficult. I was fortunate in that all those kind souls who adopted them send photos and updates so I can see how they’re doing. I have had cats most of my life and after the heartbreak of losing them to old age I swore I wouldn’t get another. Well these new additions keep me company and fill my heart with love.
